I would check on this to see if there is a quarantine period. *I did a quick Google and Turkey does not have a quarantine period but requires a vet certificate of health dated within 15 days of travel. It also mentioned that a traveler can bring one bird and one dog (what the heck?).

You'll have to check with your airline to see how to transport him. I would see if you could keep him in a carry-on, dog-type bag that is dark and zipped so he isn't frightened by the surroundings.
