Pictures of my puppies, I call them puppies because they act like puppies constantly begging for attention(or food) They male is named PT short for People Turtle because he loves people (my wife came up with that name not me), the female is named Gertrude and I named her (don't ask me where I came up with that because I don't know). The second picture is a good example for anyone wanting to know how to sex them the female is on the left the male is on the right, very obvious difference in the tail, also the female has a much deeper shell and fatter head. They are currently housed in a 75gal with a homemade upper deck with basking platform and basking heat lamp as well as a homeade floueresent fixture with a 4ft 2.0 UVB reptisun bulb. This winter I plan to build a similar set-up with a 180 gal tank with a built off one the sides a large tub filled with sand that they can bask on and lay eggs, next summer they will go out in my outdoor garden pond, after I build a cinder block wall around the pond with electric wire fence to keep any preditors out, but they will still over winter inside in the aquarium.
