Sure, send me a photo at dlawhorn@utk.edu and I'll try my best to help you out. If it came in with one of the plants it is probably an anole (green/brown) or a gecko (house/mediteranean) . This is common with imported plants grown in tropical areas. Sometimes species lay eggs and they hatch after the potted plant has been shipped somewhere else. If it's a snake, it's probably a flowerpot snake.
