Hello,

Both of these should be edible for chucks----

The purple spikes are Liatris --of some kind. While not poisonous---it has been used as a medicinal plant in years back. So it can have some effect on a body but most likely a positive one---- I would try it in a heart beat!

The light colored flowers are some type of Gaura- very edible--- close kin to Calylophus and Mexican Evening Primrose. Dont forget to offer leaves too!

Regards

David
