I need to build a 36-foot lean-to "green house" along the southern edge of an indoor turtle room to provide UVB while dealing with cold summer nights (we've had several nights in July in the low 30s F) and cold winters. I understand that neither polycarbonate nor glass will not allow UVB to pass through, and that most good polyethylene green house glazing also will not allow UVB through because it has been treated to resist UV degradation. However, I understand that acrylic (unless it has been treated to exclude UVB) will allow UVB through.

Has anyone had experience with acrylic green house glazing? I'd appreciate information on dealing with the expansion/contraction of acrylic, any other useful tips, and good sources for non-wholesale-quantities of double-wall or other acrylic.
