good for you for doing your research! soooo many people wait till' the last minute and it usually doesn't turn out so well. i have kept baby dragons and adult dragons and they both do well in this type of set up. i usually put a small whisper filter in there to keep the water clean, but the primary way to keep the water clean is water changes.
for wood, i just go outside and look for pieces that look like they will not rot. driftwood is really the best to use, i get a bunch of peices and some thick short branches. then i hose them off (better to do that outside) and bake them for 30 minutes at 350 or 400. i think i have pics, you can email me at otis07_@hotmail.com and i can send them to ya. ----- A room of herps. www.freewebs.com/kapoktree
