A friend surrendered this turtle to me last week when he realized it would be difficult to care for in an aquarium. I have a large(1000 gallon)turtle pond. His brother found it crossing a street here in florida. I haven't been able to find any really good id sites for maps. Most only have one photo of each species taken from a distance. I have eliminated the florida natives, Graptemys barbouri and Graptemys ernsti. Any help with an id would be appreciated. He is loving life in his big pond and gets along fine with my redbellys.
