Either way, Allen Repashy already includes pigment enhancers in the CGD, and there is even an add-in if you would like to put more in. Also, he has marketed SuperHatch, which is pretty much aquatic pond soil. I have not used it, but I think from hearing about it that it should not need to be misted at all. (I don't think you should have to mist eggs anyways, because misting implies water going everywhere, and water shouldn't really be in direct contact with the eggs.) It also tells you by a change in color if it is too dry and some water needs to be put in the container again.
