At the other end I have a water dish and small clay dish that I put snails and worms in- the snails always migrate to the water dish (duh). I moved his tank to a shelf that has an overhead plant light (no way to get him natural unfiltered sun light). So my questions are: since he is nocturnal and sleeps under the log does he need a special light and if so how the heck can I accomplish that? Second I want to give him more security and climbing around opportunities by putting artificial plant/leaves in his tank. It is ok to use hot glue to attach them to part of the hide log?
