All you can do is observe them. Check for bite marks on the hind legs and tail. Most likely that's where attacks come from.
Allow for a lot of space too. Males and females will tussle, particularly the female since the male will court her. You'll see her nipping at his front claws, but don't be alarmed. She may even bite off a nail, but this is normal.
Yet some separate males and females, so it may not be a great idea though I've a female and male together and there've been no problems. One female, however, the male did attack so I separated them.
All you can do is observe, check everyday, don't let them get out of hand.
