I've had my Mali Uromastyx for over twoo weeks now and so far it is adjusting well to the new home. At first he was a little shy and didn't come out at all, even to bask. He was hiding under his home for over a week, then one day he was out and about and even tolerate me being near the cage. He's been eating on a regular basis now that he is acclimated. Anyway, I've been feeding her some of Melissa Kaplan's iguana salad that I feed my iguana, and so far he seems to love it. I think he likes the bright color of grated butternut squash and so far it seems to be bringing out his color. Anyway, what do guys feed your Uro? Is the iguana salad adequate for my Uro. He has everything. The protein and carbohydrate from the parsnips and butternut squash. I didn't put any alfalfa pellets and green beans in the salad, though. I find my iguana would eat less if I put the alfalfa in his salad, so I just left it out. I need to by green beans for the salad. For his greens he gets collard, mustard, escarole, dandelion green, and endive, with the occasional kale, arrugula, chards and maybe some brussel sprout.
