I have started an incorproated not for profit Alabama Herpetological Society. Unfortunately it has not went as well as I had hoped, still trying hadn't given up. There is also a Birmingham herp club/class at UAB headed by Dr. Ken Marion. If you want you can go to the Dixie show and ask around about us.
