RE: common names?

the reason that I ask is that I've been looking to buy geckos and they usually just have a common name( though I prefer to buy from a breeder that lists both). I googled "Lygodactylus williamsi" and got some stuff about a "williamsi" that was in a different genus. I was confused at first because sometimes they change the scientific name or name a subspecies, stuff like that.

So, what is a neon day gecko? I've seen pictures that look like it from Phelsuma and Lygodactylus.
