I'm looking for some good basic scientific literature on herpetology. I've got Zug's "Herpetology: An Introductory Biology of Amphibians and Reptiles" (second edition) and am looking to expand a bit beyond it.

My particular interest is evolutionary relationships between the different groups of herps (turtles, archosaurs and lepidosaurs and the clades for amphibians), and then behavioral ecology--basically, I want to understand more about the evolution of these animals and how they interact with their habitats. I've got a decent selection of field guides and one or two other texts: Werler's Texas Snakes (hardback, not the field guide edition) and a book by Matt Vincent on the varanids of Oz. I don't have a lot of formal schooling (college dropout) but I can figure through most text given world enough and time.
