>>I've been interested in frog keeping for some time now, and have been reading that whites are good starter frogs. I do have a couple things I am having trouble figuring out though. Do they need a "buddy?" I'd be happy keeping just one, but if I need to get 2 to make them happier, I can do that too.>>

The main reason for keeping more than one frog is to breed them. It is pure luck if you can end up getting a pair when you buy more than one. If you get a young animal, you probably have a 50/50 chance of getting a female. Most adults that are sold are males because the breeders do not like to part with females for obvious reasons.

>>Also, how loud are they? I know that the males will call, but the viv would be in my room, so I can't have anything too loud(and I have neighbours, through painfully thin walls, and don't want anything that would be easily heard through them)
>>
>>Thank you

They are loud enough to wake you up if you are a light sleeper.
