Hello,

i hope this forum isn't too dead to get a response!

i will soon be setting up a 40 gal breeder tank for a juvenile A.S ( under 4" ) and i was wondering if anyone had any tips on a decent filter without spending a huge sum of money? I have kept a lot of aquatic turtles in the past, but was never happy with filters like whisper and whatnot. not to mention the fact that every caresheet i read seems to really push the issue of snappers needing more filtration than other species. any ideas?

many thanks,
matthew
