While the olive oil works great, and cleaning the cage works great.. sometimes those little pests get out of the cage, and can linger in the general area for a while.

I use no-pest-strips in combination with the olive oil treatment to eliminate the vermin! I also move the cage to an area away from it's normal location (another room) while I am treating the animal.
