I bought a 2-year-old female emerald about 4 weeks ago now. She is very tame and can be handled with ease. But she won't eat for me. I was told she was on f/t mice twice a month. I have tried giving her dead, stunned, and live mice, on tongs, draped over her perch, or running on the floor of the tank overnight. She doesn't eat at all. The first two weeks she struck at them but then immediately dropped them, now she shows no interest at all. Does anybody have any ideas? How long should I wait before I assist feed her?
The temp during the day reaches a high of 85-88 and drops to 75 at night. Her humidity is kept between 65-75% during the day, dropping to 60% or so at night during the dry-out period. I try to feed her at night right after or right before the lights go out.
