Give him a lot more cover with bushy plants (live is better because they will help keep the humidity stable). Schefflera, a big pothos are pretty easy to find. Or, you can drape a pale colored sheet or towel over part of the cage to create a visual refuge from all the activity. If you can raise the cage height it will help too.
