Seems you guys have discussed this to quite the end, but I had one spin on it.Both my solares do this a little but more like let out a huge breath, you can hear it, even if your a few feet away from them, but sometimes it more like a huge exhale.I was wondering, its after they have eaten 20 or 30 ants, and phewwwwwwww you hear it.The ants i use here put off a huge formic cloud if disturbed.I mean if I put my face even near a container of a few thousand and shake it, the fumes are horrible. And if bitten it burns like a matchhead applied to the skin. Are they getting rid of the "fumes" or formic ingestion from so many ants at once? Most of the time they don't open there mouth when they do this, it's through the nostrils and hence the sound of the air rush, sometimes they do the mouth open, but mostly its a nostril type exhale and you can see the body noticeably deflate as they do it........
