Posted by: Tim37 at Thu Jun 18 10:34:12 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Tim37 ] I was giving a small (shell is about 2 inches) common snapping turtle about a week ago and it seems all the info i find is on Alligator snappers. so i was wondering if some one could give me some advise on things like habitate set up like how deep the water should be. and also do common snappers bask all the info i have found say that all turtles need to dry off from time to time but he stays in the water all the time. right now i have about 4 inches of water with some larg rocks that he can get on to dry but if they arnt needed i will remove them. also it looks like his shell is peeling is that normal if not what do i need to do with him?
