Ihe third one hatched as I watched. I am very excited. I have been trying to breed them for almost three years. One baby I had two years ago died after about a month. They would only lay eggs a few times a year and then the eggs never hatched. So to have three eggs hatch today is a huge success for me!
I have them set up in a 2.5 gallon tank, I gave them some teeny tiny baby mealworms from my culture, in a mealworm dish, and a little blob of cat food that their parents are fond of.
I woudl love to hear about baby skink care. I can order some mini mealworms for them and get some redworms, which are usually quite small.
I have them on shredded aspen, well misted, with a water dish big enough for them to get in. They have a UTH and an overhead lamp. They were incubated at 80 degrees.
feedback welcome and appreciated.
thanks!
Sasha
