I live in the middle of a big city (Albuquerque) Nothing at all rural at all about it. We do have lots of turtles here that have been in peoples back yards for years though. There is no way he could have dug his way through or under these cinder block walls. The only two possibilities are he was here and just kept himself well hidden or someone put him in my yard. He is very shy compared to the other turtles. My back yard does have alot of places to hide too.
Either way I'm glad to have him. He's got good color, he makes a good addition, and he diversifies my blood lines. I have two males now. I'm not sure yet about last years babies but I am sure about the sex of all the other juvie and semi adult turtles. All the others are females. ----- Vichris "The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane"- Marcus Aurelius
