I am going to assume that you have a Gerrhosaurus major bottegoi and not a true Black lined Plated Lizard (Gerrhosaurus nigrolineatus), and that we have the same species, even though I imagine that the incubation on these animals would be similar.

My females dug down about 6" into the sand in the enclosure, and laid the eggs there, and then piled more sand into the area. A moister area for laying was made available, but was not used be either female.

I took the eggs out, spritzed the sand off of them, marked the date, and by doing so the top of the egg with a sharpie marker, and incubated them in a semi closed deli cup on slightly damp moss at 84/86 degrees. I had problems with the eggs in the past so the moss was sort of an experiment to see what would happen. See my post above for photos of the hatchlings.
