//I can't fall back on much experience, however the GTP I have doesn't try to push on much of anything. He explores his enclosure every night, yet never seems to push on the lid. However, this could simply be his disposition, and may not mirror that of the majority of GTPs. Regardless, it's always better to be safe, rather than sorry.

To answer your question, however - I think taking some precautions with an enclosure is never a bad thing, and it sounds as if you're doing just that. You should be fine.

>>I've got a question about housing a gtp in the largest exo terra enclosure. I have a 36" wide 18" width, 24" tall exo that I would like to use.
>>
>>Some concerns are first off the screen lid is very flexible and can be pushed up in the middle rather easily. I would either use silicone, or even better if it works weldon 16 to permanently secure on the top.
>>
>>The next problem is pretty similar with the top frame above the doors. It's flexible there also, but not so much as the screen top. I can push up on it with some good force and create a 1" gap. Now, I'm pushing pretty hard and I wouldn't have any perches right against the front glass where the snake could get a lot of leverage but I've never owned a gtp and don't know their strength.
>>
>>So, is anyone using one of these or think they would work?
