Questions about breeding RETF

I've had my three RETF (two males one female) for about two months. I was told they are about two years old. I didn't plan to breed them this year, but out of curiousity I began to put them through a dry period with less food. After only about a week of this, one of the males began to weakly call, shortly followed by the other male.Once this started I began the wet period to see what would happen. The slightly larger male calls a bit more, and has a small lump in his throat when he does (which has gotten slightly bigger over time), but I've yet to hear a full, strong call. The sounds they make don't really sound the same as a male RETF I've seen in a video (whose throat inflates a lot when he calls). Is it possible that my males need to practice or more time to mature? I'm also wondering if one week of a dry season was to short to trigger egg production with the female, as I've read it should last 3-4 weeks or so. Also, is it better to have one dry period near the beginning of the breeding season, or multiple dry then wet periods (nothing I've read seems to clarify this)?
The tank they are in is a 55 gallon with broad leafed plants, some of which overhang the 6'' deep water pool(with a waterfall). It has a corkbark / lavarock background and sphagnam moss covering the coco husk fiber. The temp stays at around 75F during the day and 65-70 at night, with 80-90% humidity. There is 12hrs of light/dark except for dry periods. Normally I mist them once or twice a day,but much more often for wet periods and not at all for dry periods. I'm also wondering if this set up will work for breeding, or if I need to set up a rain chamber? But as I said, it wasn't planned to breed them yet, but since the males started calling I figured I'd see what came of it. Any advice / input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
