You can still find Black and Blues in the wild. Not sure if (probably has happened at least in the past) if they had been crossed with other localities to darken up the black and blues. There are areas in San Diego that you can find Black and Blues Unicolors, Silverish Unicolors,burnt Orange Unicolors and bright Orange ALL in the wild. The Unicolors pretty much start in San Diego and accross the otherside of the mountains into TJ and other areas further south.
As far as WHAT you have it depends on which paper you follow. The newest paper out on Rosys says that those Unicolor Rosy are a seperate species from the other rosy boas in san Diego. Personally I find that hard to swallow since some areas you can find both unicolors and some with the typical striping. As far as what MOST consider RIGHT NOW is that in California we have 2 Sub-Species of Rosy, Lichanura trivirgata roseofusca-Coastal Rosy Boa and Lichanura trivirgata gracia-Desert Rosy Boa. That may change at some point though.Do some more research into the Locality of Rosy Boas and you will see many different localities that exist in California and Mexico.
