I am pretty new to the forum and am fascinated by the regional variations in c.collaris. My son and I collected a trio of young collareds last month near Albuquerque in NM. I didn't see any adult collareds in that area so I am not really sure what these little guys will turn out to look like. Is there anyone out there on this forum that can post a somewhat comprehensive sample of what the basic regional differences look like (i.e. AZ/Utah, NM, Texas, etc.)? Do the NM fancies originate in southern NM (i.e. Artesia - Roswell) or are they found throughout NM? I am a long-time chameleon keeper and find a lot of parallels between the regional variations in panther chameleons and in c.collaris. Is there a good source of printed information that would shed some light on this?
