A Hypo Snow is kind of the same concept as a Hypo Tangerine. Just as a Hypo Tangerine is a Tangerine with reduced black spots a Hypo Snow is a Snow with reduced black. Most the one's I've seen are from Line-Bred Snows produced in the same fashion as Hypo Tangerines & Super Hypo Tangerines are. There are even Super Hypo Snows out there. I've also seen Hypo & Super Hypo Snows with TUG's Dominant Snow Line.
To produce a Hypo Snow you would have to selectively breed Snows with reduced black for a few generations to achieve this. Another way & what I did was bred a Line Bred Snow to Super Hypo Tangerines & Tremper Sunglows. Some of the offspring came out Snow, some Tangerine, & everything in between. There were also alot of variations in the amout of black spots.
The bottom pic is my male Line-Bred Snow I used for this project. He's a combination of 50% Albey Line Snow & 50% K&N Line Snow.
The top Pic is a Super Hypo Snow X Tangerine. He was produced from the male Line-Bred Snow bred to a Super Hypo Tangerine Female. He's a great example of the combination exhibiting both the Snow & Tangerine traits.
The middle pic is also a Super Hypo Snow X Tangerine (she's also het Tremper Albino) but exhibits more the Snow traits. If you look close you can see hints of Tangerine in her. She was produced from the male Line-Bred Hypo Snow bred to a female Tremper Sunglow.
I hope this all helps explain it a little bit.
Later
Chris
