I've only bred mine once, but it wasn't particular complicated. I cooled them down to the low 60s for about 8 weeks over the winter, then brought them up and put the male in with the female after they had been up for about a month.
I knew it was time to breed because he was very active but wouldn't eat. Anytime my johnii refuse food, I know something must be up!
