Just once. A large female that was nearly starved to death by the UT DWR. I was feeding her by hand a couple times a week to get some weight back on her. When I opened her cage one day, she was expecting a meal, so I offered her my finger, and she took it momentarily. Like your male, she quickly realized her mistake, and released me.

I've had lots of Charina that will take mice out of my fingers, but she is the only one that didn't smell first to confirm her prey. She never did it a second time even though I tried.

I still tell first time snake holders that if the Rubber Boa I'm holding out to them bites them, I'll give them $100. I don't think I'll ever have to pay.

Sure wish my Rosy's would learn from my Rubber's how to verify an object is food before biting!
