Injured Salamander

Good evening.

I discovered a salamander in my house just a few minutes ago. He is small (4 inches STL) and one of his eyes is missing. I think he got caught under my door. I feel awful for the little guy and am going to try to find a vet for him in the morning. For now we've made him a small, humid enclosure with a bit of water in it. Is there anything else that can be done to keep him comfortable? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
