My son has an easten box turtle that is around 2 years old. Probably about 3" long. His cage is a 4 sqft area outside made of 18" tall plywood. It is in central PA. We softend the soil up and he dug down pretty well as the temps dropped and then we piled about a foot of dried leaves on top for insulation. Should this be ok for the winter or shold I cover the enclosure with plywood or something similar? Thanks for any help.
