A 30gl high would be plenty of space for a trio of gliders. However from experience I find that they are easier to work from a front opening cage rather than a top opening cage. However if you're set on the cage you have, you should be fine. Just keep an eye on them... They are F-A-S-T. However, if you provide adequate cover, they will usually rely on their camouflage as long as you don't move too quickly around them.



Put a low watt (25 should be sufficient) heat lamp in one corner with a broad, dark branch for basking. In my experience, they seem to bask more readily if they feel camouflaged. I've seen them utilizing basking spots up into the high 90's at times, but 85-90 is plenty warm. They mate and lay eggs fairly readily as long as they are kept healthy and happy. No cooling or other nonsense needed from what I've seen. Since they glue their eggs, provide some short, vertical, pieces of tubing when your females are gravid. They may or may not use them, but if they do, you can simply remove and incubate the tube rather than having to place a cup over the eggs in the tank when they inevitably lay them on the glass.
