On December 5th I bought two chameleons at a reptile show, one Veiled and one Jackson.
Each one lives in their own enclosure, my Veiled is a female and the Jackson a male.

The Veiled is a beast, she'll charge the crickets when I put them in and have them gone in no time. I think because of this she has increased in size a great deal. She can also be very nasty to me, generally she will move to the opposite side of the enclosure when I am cleaning it out but she'll attack my fingers when attempting to handle her. Her bite use to be pathetic but now that she is bigger I wear gloves as her bite power increased. I've done a lot of reading that says this species can be nice or nasty it all depends on the chameleon. I've determined I have a nasty one, so I try not to handle her.

On the contrary the Jackson is a sweet chameleon who has never been aggressive with me. However, he doesn't hunt down the crickets like the Veiled does and he doesn't eat as many either. I assume this is why he has only grown a little for the two months that I have had him. Initially when I bought them I remember them being about the same size, now my Veiled is twice as big as the Jackson.

Is it common for Veiled chameleons to grow much faster than a Jackson? Or is this abnormal and maybe my Jackson is not eating enough?
