i just got a baby reeve's myself, back in nov.last year.i kept it by itself in a 5 gal tank, but it just sat on the bottom.wouldn't swim, barely ate, would'nt bask.this went on for almost 3 wks, until i started to get real worried about it.i put it in a small community tank,w/ 2 hatchling razorback musks, and a hatchling eastern mud,and within 24 hrs,it was like the reeves was a whole new turtle.swimming, basking, eating everything.now,i don't usually endorse community tanks, but it works for the reeve's.conditions are exactly the same as before, water temo in the mid 70's,air temp about the same, plain old 65 watt incandescent for basking.i found a couple articles on the internet about reeve's,and some of them suggested reeve's are a more social turtle.i tried, and have nothing but good luck.the musks and mud do grow much faster than the reeve's,it was twice as big when first added, now all turtles are roughly the same size. ----- 1.1 cb spotted turtles (parker(f),stinky(m)) 0.0.2 cb baby razorback musks (way too cute) 0.0.1 cb baby eastern mud (also ridiculously cute) 0.0.1 cb reeve's turtle (george) 1.2 ltc eastern boxies 0.0.1 cb eastern box (this year's young 'un) 1.1 ltc eastern box breeders 0.1 cb'06 eastern box(nanners) 0.2 cb'08 kenyan sand boas(1 anery,1 normal) 1.0 cb '03 homo sapien(kaelan,6) "jesus is coming-when i count to 3,everyone jump out and yell SURPRISE!!"
