Hey, im no expert on these guys but im also looking into getting one. I haven't come upon alot about these guys, but here is a basic care guide with temps and what not: http://www.reptileparadise.com/cs_caiman.htm the temps are in C not F so you'll have to covert them. My buds help take care of three of these guys at our local zoo. The said keep a basking spot at about 95-100 at the top branch and then creat lower basking spots. That way there is a gradiant. They say that two perfer it cooler and don't bask much, while one is always seen at the 90 basking zone. They keep the water heated as well when its deep, they try and mimic a dry and wet season (so far not going so well). They keep the water temp around 72-80 depending on how shallow the water is. They are suppose to be really hardy once they get use to new foods. We'll see, i have to wait to move back home as im at a seasonal job that does not allow pets in the housing. good luck!
Hope more info comes about as they get more popular.
