There natural habitat is grassland but there are places where they occur in the rocks. All the ones I have ever found were in great expanses of grass.Make up some type of grass land with biosoil and some rocks it can be done.I have a few cages set up with a biosoil but it can be alot of work to get started.I would not use sand.organic compost and coconut husk works. Most of my snakes have a newspaper habitat tho.It is always fun to try something new.
