Boxienuts got it right: it's a Japanese maple (see link for more info on cultivar, etc.)
The tree in the middle of the frame is a dogwood, and some of the low growing plants are Liriope muscari, Podophyllum paltatum, Tricyrtis, Tradescantia, Vinca minor, and, in the pond, Acorus.
What you see in the photo is only about half of the enclosure, and the image is a little deceptive in that the enclosure is about 25' across (L to R) Link
