Hi all, I'm hoping you can help me. I've had Bob, a female, for about 8 years now. She was probably a year or two old when she came to me. She's been well taken care of and everything has been fine until just recently. All of a sudden she won't bask. She'll get up on her platform if I lure her up there, but she won't stay and wont' get up on her own. I'm home all day and she's used to seeing me and in fact greets me, so it's not a matter of her being scared. Her basking area and tank have not changed, same platform, same full spectrum light, same temp gradient between basking area and water temp.

Because of her refusal to bask she's starting to show fungal signs on her shell. We've been holding this back by warm salt water soaks, but I'd really like to treat the problem rather than the symptoms.

Does anyone have any suggestions? As I said, nothing has changed, so I'm stumped.

Thanks in advance!
