temps are a few degrees low, which would slow down the metabolism. and the prey size may be a bit small, too, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. from everything i've heard, bloods are VERY commonly over-fed. they should be fat, but not FAT if that makes sense.

mine defecates about 3 times per year, or every 4 months or so. he/she is a late 08 and on sm rats every 12 days. i COULD move her to med rats, but i have no intention to breed him/her so i don't see the need to max the feedings. she'll stay nice and health for a LONG time
