Be sure you understand that the image must exist on a server somewhere, be it Photobucket, Foto Time or here at kingsnake.com photo gallery. Then you just insert a link to it. It looks like you are getting close!

I put this together to explain the use of image tags using Bulletin Board Code (BB Code)
This is actually an image too. Hope it helps.
