I have a female albino Burmese. She was a rescue animal that I bought from a friend who had gotten her from a kid that got in over his head with her. She is approx 8 years old and only 13ft and 100lbs.
She shared a very brief 3 months in the same cage with a male back in June, July, and August of 2008. I had never even seen them close much less breed for the time they WERE together.
I finally finished her new cage and she was put into it away from the male and in April 2009 she threw 47 slugs.
Since then she has NEVER been with the male again as I am not a Burmese breeder. My two are used in educational programs.
On the 23rd of this month she threw another clutch of 63 slugs and what appears to be 8 GOOD eggs. A good friend of mine just candled them and found that atleast 2 are fertile.
Has anyone had this happen to them?
