The fact is that there are very few snakes that will actually come after people with the intention of doing them harm, and as far as I know there aren't any mambas in texas, Florida maybe. This may seem a little crazy to you,but even venomous snakes do not wish to hurt you, they don't eat people and do not actively hunt us. If you do see a copperhead or a rattle snake, just give them some space. Pick up a long stick and nudge them away if you feel uncomfortable, but there is no need to kill them.
