Here are pics of a couple copperheads I removed from people's yards and then relocated. Copperheads are absolutely not dangerous, except if you try to pick one up or accidentally put your hand near one that you don't see. (You're probably more likely to get hit by lightning than the latter.)

Snakes do not "go after" humans. Just look at it this way, if you saw a 90 foot long snake, would you try to go after it??

Tell your dad snakes are good to have around. They eat destructive pest animals like rats and mice. Please don't kill them.
