But where are the Lucy's now and who would be willing to start a breeding program? To my knowledge of the 18 that were originally discovered (17.1) only 10.0 are still alive. 1.1 was discovered last year in LA, they are juveniles. Making 11.1 total. I know Audubon has 2 on display (1 at the aquarium and 1 at the zoo), Palm Beach Zoo has 1, Gatorland has 4 and I would think that the oil company has the other 3.
