Well, again let me say I have never bred leopard geckos. I have been looking into it though because I would like to in the future. A couple places I've found say to leave the male in for a few days to a week, and it does say you will notice bite marks on the female, the male will grab her neck for mating. One site I found said that it does not separate the male (although it acknowledges that most breeders do). They keep one male with about 4-5 females year round. Most of the sites that sell leopard geckos also have tips for breeding, so search around.
Good luck!
