Hello all,

I recently bought a Schneider skink that appears to be in good health, except that he has a few cuts on his body. I was told that he was the only one in the tank, so I don't know that these cuts came from another reptile; but the tank he was in was very small, smaller than a 10 gallon, and he was constantly moving around when I saw him. I think maybe his cuts came from rubbing against cage furniture while in his frenetic and stressed-out state.

So my question--how should I treat these cuts? The blood appears to have coagulated over them, and they are slightly swollen.

I have him in a 20 long tank (not ideal I know, only temporary), with sand/coir for burrowing, a heat lamp, uvb lamp, rock under the heat lamp, and a couple plants. I also have a water dish and some hides.

Am I missing anything?
