For a very short period of time, adults can tolerate temperatures ranging between 83-84F. Babies don't have the resilience adults do and they could easily overheat in those temperature ranges.

WHen you are having hot days, I suggest either moving your cresteds into a cooler room, or closer the floor. (often temperatures can be as much as 5 degrees cooler on the floor then they would be on a shelf or stand at waist height (ie 3-4 feet off the ground). Placing an ice cube into a small dish with water can also help cool the cage or at least provide a cooler area for the geckos to be near.
