I dont have either but I have 2 freinds that have 1 of each. a couple things to consider, both are nocturnal and dont need uv, the crested depending on were you live wont need a heat source, 70/75 is good cant be over 80. Requirs taller as opposed to wider cage,(arborial) deep substraight for the sole purpose of high humidity( in my expirience the easiest way to keep humidity high). lots of tall fake plants to hide behind and in. From what I have seen fairly easy to care for and very freindly. The leoperd needs more floor space, from what I have read 15 gal or 20 long will be fine. Papertowels are fine at the bot of cage needs to stay dry. A heat source, hot spot of 98 cool side of 80/82. I dont want to tell you what you already know just trying to cover the bases. Remember with heat comes air flow as the heat rises and the point of a reptile enclosure is to limit dehidration. Use the smallest heating device possible to obtain the temps you need, and cover as much of the top as you can to create a stable temp with as little air flow as possible. Leoperds can be frindly just not the one I met. Both eat insects the crested also has a food made just for them, the leo pretty much just insects and the occasional pinky. Both are fairly easy to care for they just need their basic requirements to be met and they will thrive. Choose the one that better suits your liking and your home, remember its easier to provide heat for a leo than it is to keep a crested cool if your house gets to hot.
